Kriegsschiffe in den Nordatlantik, damit beispielsweise diese mögliche
Truppentransporte nicht gefährden können.

Sehr umfassender Text, der allerdings zweierlei außer Acht lässt:
( 1) Die unermesslichen Schäden, die ein Einsatz von Atomwaffen
anrichten wird. Denn es gibt Null Garantie, dass diese Waffen nicht in
den nächsten 100 Jahren, 1000 Jahren oder in noch ferneren Zeiten
eingesetzt werden. Jede Zeit ist jetzt (potentielle) Endzeit.
( 2) Die Bedeutung, die dieser Vertrag bei jeder Änderung der
Atombombenpolitik hat, haben kann, zB für die Erneuerung der Bücheler
Atombomben und ihrer Trägersysteme.

| A group of experts and former government officials from Harvard Kennedy
| School (HKS) and the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) convened
| strategists from the United States and Europe over the past year to
| discuss the crisis in the transatlantic relationship and to propose a
| strategy to revive and strengthen it. We Europeans and Americans
| launched this project due to our shared commitment to the transatlantic
| relationship. We met throughout 2020—first in Munich and Berlin and then
| virtually during the pandemic—to develop a truly transatlantic fusion of
